This one is an agonizing thread because it's so fucking hard to come up with just ten so if you make your list feel free to expand it by any number divisible by like... five and we'll call it fair.

Off the top of me head, I'll refine, massage n expand it later; Beach Boys - Pet Sounds Love - Forever Changes The Band - The Band Genesis - Foxtrot Yes - Close To The Edge XTC - Skylarking Billy Joel - The Stranger Brian Wilson - Smile The Divine Comedy - Promenade Jim O' Rourke - Bad Timing Now that could change in 10 miutes by an album here or there. I may have to go top 10 by decade...

Always changing as I'm always finding new music or like women, an old love comes back into my life.
The Cure - Disintegration Def Leppard - Hysteria It Dies Today - Lividity Drain STH - Horror Wrestling Fear Factory - Demanufacture Cold - 13 Ways To Bleed On Stage Still Remains - The Serpent Demon Hunter - Summer of Darkness Nirvana - Nevermind Alice In Chains - Dirt Nirvana - Unplugged In New York 30 Seconds To Mars - 30 Seconds To Mars Smashing Pumpkins - Siamese Dreams The Cure - Bloodflowers Stone Temple Pilots - Core
Yeah, well 15 is divisible by 5. :-P

I think that this list is pretty much impossible for me to do. There is so many good stuff out there. And the stuff I would put on the list would probably even feature a lot older stuff than yours, chocky. I'll have to think hard about this for a while.

Guess I'm not cool enough to have the old stuff as my favorites. I like a lot of older music as well, its just not my favorite. I think I'm partial to stuff I grew up on as a kid/teenager.

Billy Joel:Songs from the Attic The Stranger Innocent Man Okay, I'm old. Mock me now. I'll high five ya for representing my man BJ I will lightly mock you however for picking Songs In The Attic (a good collection of live songs but essentially a 'Greatest Hits' of pre Stranger songs) over a studio album like Glass Houses or Piano Man

Actually, my favorite Billy (sorry, can't bring myself to abbreviate him as BJ) album is Glass Houses and/or 52nd Street. Also Nylon Curtain (damn, how can you beat Scandinavian Skies?!?). Plus, he went out (stopped recording) on a high note (River of Dreams). Class act (other than the alcoholism and multiple failed marriages, that is). Just saw him with Elton, and he blew Elton out of the water. Figuratively (alas, for Elton).
