Kimota!Marvel-fucking-man. How did they do it? It was supposed to be like the Gordian Knot of comic book character rights. Can't say I think Marvel is the best home for Marvelman but it will be nice to see the character be relevant again. It's like DC and Captain Marvel all over again. First they attack them legally and eventually wind up with the rights. Anyway, now Marvel has a knock-off Superman (Sentry) and a knock-off Captain Marvel! Well, besides the CMINO they already have that is.

I'm looking forward to them maybe reprinting the Alan Moore run, and then Gaiman getting a chance to continue/complete his. This is mythic, and having only read the odd excerpt (I'm sure you all know which bits) I look forward to seeing Marvel spit in Todd McFarlane's eye.

True, but this seems like something Marvel may not want to fuck with too much or all fanboy hell will break loose.
But DC is melding the Milestone, Red Circle, and now Thunder Agents into their universe, so why not Marvelman in the Marvel Universe?

I can't wait to actually own the Moore Marvelman issues. It's up there with Watchmen and V as Moore's greatest moments (I haven't read Swamp Thing yet).
But beyond the Moore issues, I really don't care to read about Marvelman. Moore's story was so complete that when I finished it, I had no desire to read about Marvelman again. It just didn't need to be done, in a similar way that after reading Watchmen you really don't come away with the desire to pick up a Dr. Manhattan monthly. I only read the first issue Gaiman wrote and then stopped because I couldn't get into it. So I have no idea if the Gaiman story is even worth finishing and losing Mark Buckingham on Fables, but whatever they do, I hope their first move is a Marvelman by Alan Moore omnibus.
